A play by Will Osmond

Directed by Darren Luke Mawdsley

Thank you to NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) and The University of Manchester who commissioned Side Affect as part of the THINKphysical festival 2015, where it played at CONTACT Manchester in June.

Jane has had a psychotic episode. No problem – except she no longer feels the passion that made her a singing sensation. She needs to find a way to cope with the seismic effects of her medication, but who is really in control of her illness, and her life? Side Affect takes audiences on an acute exploration of what it is like to live on antipsychotics in a fun, stimulating and participatory way.
